What are eyelash extensions?
They are Premium quality synthetic or silk eyelash extensions that are bonded to your own natural eyelash by a specially formulated adhesive.
They have a natural J-shaped curl, replicating the shape of natural long lashes. It creates a very natural look.
Eyelashes not only become longer, but thicker and darker as well. They are waterproof, smudge-proof, weightless, and available in different lengths and colors to create the desired effect.
How safe is the adhesive and the adhesive remover?
As with any adhesive or adhesive remover, it is vital that it does not come in contact with the eye, be swallowed,or inhaled. Great care is imperative to ensure that they do not come in contact with the eye. There is no known adhesive, or adhesive remover that is safe for contact with the eyes surface.It is for this reason that extensions should only be applied by a trained professional.
I already have long eyelashes, are there benefits for me to get them?
Anyone can get extensions and notice an immediate improvement in their appearance. They can make your already long lashes thicker and darker. They can create thicker lashes for people who have fine light coloured lashes.
The great thing is you can decide on the desired look. Some people want a natural look and some people want very dramatic long lashes for special events. I already use mascara already, why should I get eyelash extensions?
You must apply mascara every day. Wouldn’t you love to wake up every morning and look refreshed and already made up? With eyelash extensions, you no longer need to worry about clumps, and those horrible panda eyes.
How long do they last?
They are a semi-permanent product and will last 4-6 weeks, with proper care. Many factors will affect the life of the lash extensions. Keep in mind that your own natural lashes shed naturally. This varies for each person.In general, your own natural lash cycle, your lifestyle, and aftercare will affect how long the lashes last. Touch ups are recommended every 3-4 weeks, depending on your individual needs.
Why are touch ups necessary?
Your natural eyelashes continue to grow in a replenishing cycle. Since the extensions are bonded to your own natural lash, you may need to refill the areas where your own naturally lash has fallen out. Touch-ups keep the lashes looking fresh. Touch ups generally take 15-45 minutes, depending on how many lashes have fallen out. Each person’s eyelashes falls out at different intervals.
How long does the original application take?
Depending on how dramatic you want the lashes tol ook, the procedures takes between 60-90 minutes. Itis very relaxing. There is nothing you need to do except to lay down, and keep your eyes closed. It is completely painless. When you open your eyes, you will find thicker more captivating eyelashes.
Will the Lash extensions pull out my natural lashes?
In general, the lash extensions will not pull out your natural lashes. However, if you pull on the extensions,your natural lash may come off with the extension. But do not worry, your natural lashes will grow back. Do not attempt to remove the extensions yourself, otherwise you will pull out your own natural lashes. Removals should be done by a professional in order to preserve your own natural eyelashes. The more gentle you are with them,the longer they will last.
How thick will they make my lashes?
Typically a full set of lash extensions will thicken your own lashes about 30 to 50.
How long will they make my lashes?
On average, the extensions can make your lashes anywhere from 35% to 60% longer than your natural lashes.
Can I still wear eye make-up?
Of course you can! However, waterproof mascara is not recommended, but you won’t need it anyways. Many people even find they no longer need eyeliner. Avoid petroleum-based products as they break down the bond of the lashes. If you wear eye make-up, it is important to use an oil-free make-up remover. Be gentle when removing the make-up, avoid motions that may tug onthe eyelash.
We recommend using a cotton swab. Apply the make-up remover to the cotton swab and use it to remove eye makeup. For those who feel they must wear mascara, try our Volume Up Mascara, which is water soluble and is safe for use on our eyelash extensions.
How soon before an event should I have them done?
We suggest 2 days to 4 days before that special event or vacation. This ensures sufficient curing time for the glue (which can take up to 24 hours) and the freshest possible look for the lashes.
I sleep on my stomach. Will this affect my lashes?
If you sleep on your stomach, sleep with a pillow or blanket over your head, if u cover your eyes with a sleeping mask, the longevity of your lashes will be greatly diminished. Side sleepers will notice that the eye that is on the side they sleep on will lose lashes a bit more than the side that is up.
Can I get extensions if I wear contacts?
Yes, you can. However, we recommend you do not wear your contacts when you are receiving the procedure.Since the procedure can take up to 1 1/2 hours, you may find your contacts may irritateyour eyes.
After Care:
To get the most out of your lashes, you need to follow some simple instructions.
The first 24-48 hours are crucial to
the bonding procedure.
• No water should contact eyelashes for 12 hours.
• Do not shower for the first 12 hours as the moisture and steam in the bathroom
will prevent the glue to sure properly.
• No steaming, swimming or washing your face
with hot water for 48 hours.
• Avoid using moisturizers, eye creams, and make-up removers containing oils.
They will break down the bond of the lashes, resulting in the lashes falling off sooner.
• Do not use water-proof mascara or mascara remover.
Using Mascara will reduce the life of the extensions.
• Be gentle with the extensions, avoid tugging on them and getting
them caught in on clothes and towels
• Never pull off the eyelash extensions, this will pull out your natural lashes.
• Do not perm or tint the eyelash extensions
